PSAP Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Product Datasheet Catalog# BX50045 Clone# BP6050 Predicted Molecular Wt: 45kDa Purity: ProA affinity purified IgG Species Cross-reactivity: Human Form: Liquid Applications: IHC-P Swissprot ID: P15309 Background: Prostatic Acid Phosphatase (PSAPor PAP) is a member of the histidine acid phosphatase family. It is a non-specifc phosphatase that is capable of dephosphorylating tyrosine residues as well as phospholipids under mildly acidic conditions. Prostatic specific acid phosphatase (PSAP) is involved in prostate epithelial differentiation. It is highly expressed in prostate, primary and metastatic carcinoma of the prostate. This marker may be helpful in pinpointing the site of origin in cases of metastatic carcinoma of the prostate, and is considered a more sensitive marker than PSA. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Recommended method: Heat induced epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0), primary antibody incubate at RT (18°C-25°C) for 30 minutes. Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to PSAP residues within aa1-100 of PSAP was used as an immunogen. Storage Buffer: PBS 59%, Sodium azide 0.01%, Glycerol 40%, BSA 0.05%. Storage conditions: -25°C to -18°C Storage instructions: Shipped on blue ice. Upon delivery, aliquot, and store at -25°C to -18°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Recommended Dilutions: IHC-P: 1:100-1:200 Background References: 1. Genega EM,et al. Mod Pathol. 2000 Nov;13(11):1186- 91. 2. Street, S.E, et al. (2013) J Neurosci 33, 11314-22.
