Background:
Melan-A is involved in melanosome biogenesis by ensuring the stability of GPR143 and plays a vital role in the expression,    stability, trafficking, and processing of melanocyte protein PMEL, which is critical to the formation of stage II melanosomes.
Melan-A is specifically expressed in malignant melanoma.
Melan-A is one of the most valuable melanoma markers. Melan-A is useful in confirming melanocytic differentiation of primary cutaneous tumours, differentiating these from neurothekeoma and benign fibrous histiocytoma.

Recommended Method:
Heat induced epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer   (pH 9.0), primary antibody incubate at RT (18°C-25°C) for 30 minutes.
Immunogen:
Full length protein corresponding to Human Melan-A.
