AMACR Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Product Datasheet Catalog# BX50110 Clone# BP6115 Predicted Molecular Wt: 42kDa Purity: ProA affinity purified IgG Species Cross-reactivity: Human Form: Liquid Applications: IHC-P Swissprot ID: Q9UHK6 Background: Alpha-methylacyl-CoA racemase (AMACR), also known asp504s, is a mitochondrial and peroxisomal enzyme that is involved in bile acid biosynthesis and beta-oxidation of branched-chain fatty acids. AMACR is essential in lipid metabolism, and is expressed in normal liver (hepatocytes), kidney (tubular epithelial cells) and gall bladder (epithelial cells). Expression has also been found in lung (bronchial epithelial cells) and colon (colonic surface epithelium). In immunohistochemistry (IHC), AMACR antibody has been shown to be a specific marker of prostatic adenocarcinoma. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Recommended method: Heat induced epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0), primary antibody incubate at RT (18°C-25°C) for 30 minutes. Immunogen: Full-length recombinant human AMACR was used as an immunogen. Storage Buffer: PBS 59%, Sodium azide 0.01%, Glycerol 40%, BSA 0.05%. Storage conditions: -25°C to -18°C Storage instructions: Shipped on blue ice. Upon delivery, aliquot, and store at -25°C to -18°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Recommended Dilutions: IHC-P: 1:100-1:200 Background References: 1. Schmitz W., J. Biochem. 231:815-822(1995). 2. Ghosh D., Berg J.M. J. Am. Chem. Soc. 132:3973- 3979(2010). Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) analysis of liver labelling AMACR with BP6115. Heat mediated antigen retrieval was performed using Tris/EDTA buffer pH 9.0.
