Chromogranin A Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Product Datasheet Catalog# BX50125 Clone# BP6129 Predicted Molecular Wt: 51kDa Purity: ProA affinity purified IgG Species Cross-reactivity: Human Form: Liquid Applications: IHC-P Swissprot ID: P10645 Background: Chromogranin A (CGA) is an acidic protein which is reported to be widely expressed in neural tissues and in secretory granules of human endocrine cells eg parathyroid gland, adrenal medulla, anterior pituitary gland, islet cells of the pancreas and C cells of the thyroid. CGA is found in the large majority of epithelial NE tumours: pituitary adenomas, parathyroid and pancreatic islet cell tumours, medullary thyroid carcinoma, and carcinoid tumours. Together with synaptophysin, CGA is the most important marker for the identification of NE and neuronal tumours and NE/neuronal differentiation in other tumours. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Recommended method: Heat induced epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0), primary antibody incubate at RT (18°C-25°C) for 30 minutes. Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues within aa400 to aa600 of Chromogranin A was used as an immunogen. Storage Buffer: PBS 59%, Sodium azide 0.01%, Glycerol 40%, BSA 0.05%. Storage conditions: -25°C to -18°C Storage instructions: Shipped on blue ice. Upon delivery, aliquot, and store at -25°C to -18°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles. Recommended Dilutions: IHC-P: 1:100-1:200 Background References: 1. Konecki DS, Benedum UM, Gerdes HH etal. J Biol Chem 1987;262:17026-17030. 2. Lloyd RV, Cano M, Rosa P, et al.
