AMACR Mouse Monoclonal Antibody Product Datasheet Catalog# BX50250 Clone# BPM6227 Predicted Molecular Wt: 42kDa Purity: ProA affinity purified IgG Species Cross-reactivity: Human Form: Liquid Applications: IHC-P Swissprot ID: Q9UHK6 Background: AMACR (P504S protein, 48 kDa) plays a role in the beta-oxidation of branched-chain fatty acids and their derivatives. AMACR is found in mitochondria and peroxisomes of numerous tissues such as prostate, liver, biliary tract, kidney and lung. Using immunohistochemistry, non-neoplastic prostate show a weak or focal staining reaction in about 20% of the cases. The reactivity tends to decrease with age but the correlation coefficient is low. A diffuse staining pattern for AMACR has been found in more than 90% of prostate carcinomas irrespective of Gleason score. Particularly foamy, pseudohyperplastic and atrophic variants of carcinoma may be negative. In prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia (PIN), the positive rate of AMACR ranges from 13% to 72%. AMACR antibody is mainly used in clinical diagnosis of prostate cancer. Subcellular location: Cytoplasm Recommended Method: Heat induced epitope retrieval with Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 9.0), primary antibody incubate at RT (18°C-25°C) for 30 minutes. Immunogen: Synthetic peptide corresponding to residues of AMACR was used as an immunogen. Storage Buffer: PBS 59%, Sodium azide 0.01%, Glycerol 40%, BSA 0.05%.
