CD63 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody Product Datasheet Catalog# BX50294 Clone# BP6271 Predicted Molecular Wt: 26kDa Purity: ProA affinity purified IgG Species Cross-reactivity: Human Form: Liquid Applications: IHC-P Swissprot ID: P08962 Background: CD63 Functions as cell surface receptor for TIMP1 and plays a role in the activation of cellular signaling cascades. It plays a role in the activation of ITGB1 and integrin signaling, leading to the activation of AKT, FAK/PTK2 and MAP kinases. It promotes cell survival, reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, cell adhesion, spreading and migration. It also plays a role in intracellular vesicular transport processes. CD63 is weakly expressed on B and T cells and granulocytes. It’s also expressed in bronchial glands, neural tissue (brain white matter and peripheral nerves), nevi, salivary glands, smooth muscle and synovial lining cells. CD63 is a marker of melanoma (although non-specific) and melanocytic tumors.
